Scheduling posts and using the calendar

How the queue, scheduled times and the calendar fit together — and when to use which.

Scroll Ready gives you three ways to decide when a post goes live, and a calendar view that ties them all together. Most owners end up using all three for different reasons.

The three scheduling modes

  1. Publish now. Self-explanatory. Use it for time-sensitive posts — a same-day special, an in-the-moment shot.
  2. Pick a time. You set the exact date and time. Use it for posts tied to an event (a launch, a closure, a public holiday).
  3. Add to queue. The post slots into the next best time. Scroll Ready learns which days and hours your audience is most active and rotates through them automatically.

How the queue works

Each platform has its own queue with three to five default slots per week (e.g. Tue 11am, Thu 5pm, Sat 9am). You can edit these in Settings → Schedule. When you Add to queue, the post takes the next empty slot.

If a slot has nothing in it 24 hours before it’s due to fire and auto-posting is on, Scroll Ready will draft and queue something for you. If auto-posting is off, the slot just stays empty.

The calendar view

Open the Calendar tab and you’ll see every scheduled and queued post across all platforms in a single month grid. Drag a post to a different day to reschedule it; click a post to edit it. Public holidays and your business’s closed days are shaded so you don’t accidentally schedule into them.

Time zones

Posts are scheduled in your business’s local time zone (set in Settings → Business). If you travel, the schedule does not move with you.
